Depending on your traffic citation and county your citation was issued, you may be able to pay for it online, by phone, by mail or in person. Each county has different fines so they will not always be the same. If you decide to fight your ticket you will need to appear in court.

If you fail to do this election at the time you pay for your ticket, you will lose the right to take it.
Traffic Ticket Fines & Penalties
Your Florida traffic ticket fine will vary on the issuing county. There will be points also assigned to your driving record due to the violation as well as some other fees unfortunately:
- You are pleading guilty or no contest
- You will pay the fine
- You will accumulate points on your driving record (which could eventually mean your license can be revoked or even suspended)
- You will also incur increases in your automobile insurance rates
- You may be eligible for a Basic Driver Improvement Course (BDI) that will allow you to dismiss your ticket’s points and prevent your automobile insurance rates from increasing
