Florida Drivers License Test
In an effort to ensure that first time Florida drivers who need to get their Florida Drivers license, State has a requirement for persons to take the Florida Drivers License Test or also called the Class E Knowledge Exam and pass.
You are required to retake the driver’s license test (again officially known as the Florida Class E Knowledge Exam) as well as your vision test before you can obtain your Class E Driver’s License in the following situations:
- Your Class E driver license has expired for one year or more, regardless of if it’s due to a license sanction or downgrading to an identification card.
- You completed the Florida Class E knowledge exam but did not apply to get your license issued within one year of the exam date.
- Your out-of-state driver’s license has been expired for one year or more and you are applying for a Florida Class E driver’s license.
If you are 18 or older, you must complete the Class E Knowledge Exam in person at your local DMV.
